Genetics & Lineage
Frosted Kush THCA is an OG Kush phenotype selected for maximum THCA production and exceptional trichome density. OG Kush emerged in the early 1990s, likely from Chemdawg genetics crossed with a Hindu Kush landrace, and quickly became one of the most sought-after strains in California. This THCA-dominant phenotype preserves the classic OG characteristics while pushing potency to impressive levels. The heavy trichome coverage gives buds a frosted appearance, hence the name, while maintaining the earthy, lemony kush profile that made OG famous.
Terpene Profile
Myrcene dominates with earthy, musky notes that deliver deep sedation and body-melting relaxation characteristic of heavy indicas. Caryophyllene adds spicy, peppery accents with anti-inflammatory properties that enhance physical relief. Limonene provides subtle citrus brightness and mild mood elevation that prevents the experience from becoming too heavy. Together, these terpenes create the iconic OG Kush aroma: earthy pine, lemon zest, diesel fuel, and subtle spice.
Growing Process
Frosted Kush THCA is cultivated indoors under full-spectrum LED lighting in small, meticulously managed batches. Each plant receives individual care throughout its growth cycle and is hand-trimmed post-harvest to preserve the dense trichome coverage loaded with THCA. Buds undergo cold-curing at 60°F for 14+ days to maximize terpene development and cannabinoid stability, then sealed in nitrogen-flushed packaging. Zero synthetic pesticides or plant growth regulators are ever used.
